About Me

My path to becoming a therapist began with my personal journey of self-exploration and healing, combined with a lifelong fascination with personal growth, human behaviour and interrelating. This led me to Gestalt therapy, where I uncovered a sense of wholeness, acceptance and a deeper understanding of myself.I have completed a Diploma in Arts, four years of Advanced Clinical Training in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy and a six-month short course in Somatic Experiencing. I have experience working in community clinic settings and private practice. In addition, I am a certified yoga teacher and meditation practitioner, with over four decades of life experience living across different countries and cultures.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in relational ecology, creating a supportive, compassionate, inclusive space where people - of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, cultures, abilities and relationship styles - feel supported and empowered to explore and be themselves.With a special interest in embodiment and somatic practices, I work relationally, emphasising the strength of connection and authenticity, where the therapeutic relationship is central to the process. I work collaboratively with clients throughout their unique experiences and challenges and personal journeys toward self-discovery and self-acceptance.My approach is holistic and present-focused, supporting and developing awareness with curiosity throughout the therapeutic process. I believe that greater awareness brings a broader sense of choice in how we live and attend to our challenges and issues.In our sessions, we move at a pace that feels right for you. Exploring what’s showing up in the present - whether that’s emotions, sensations, or thought patterns - with openness and acceptance.Through curiosity and care, together we explore the patterns that shape your experiences - both those rooted in the past and those unfolding in the present moment.My therapeutic work and processes are strongly influenced by my training in Relational Gestalt Therapy.I also draw on my mindfulness practices, as well as personal experiences with process-oriented therapy and somatic experiencing practices, supporting the unfolding of inner wisdom and working with deepening embodied awareness and processing trauma.

Clients come to me for a variety of reasons. Some feel disconnected from themselves and seek to explore embodiment, while others are learning to express their needs, boundaries and emotions.Some grapple with a strong inner critic, loneliness, belonging, navigating self-esteem, self-doubt, or perfectionism.Others find themselves caught in familiar patterns - relational, emotional, or behavioural - and are wanting to explore and unpack these dynamics and the choices available to them.Some come with struggles in their relationships and intimacy, seeking deeper connection and understanding.For some, it involves wrestling with an underlying sense of being wrong, too much, or not enough.Whatever brings you here, I support clients in cultivating self-compassion, creating space for curiosity, and reconnecting with what feels most true and meaningful. Services

I offer individual psychotherapy and counselling sessions for adults, both in-person in Melbourne/Naarm and online across Australia and overseas. Standard sessions are 50 minutes, with weekly or fortnightly meetings the norm.Appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.For new clients, I offer a free 15 minute scheduled introductory call, an opportunity to discuss your goals and hopes, ask any questions, and see if it feels like a good fit. Fees

Fifty minute sessions cost $150.While I don’t offer Medicare rebates, my fees are in line with the typical out-of-pocket cost for seeing a psychologist. For those considering medium- to long-term therapy, my fees are likely to be a more affordable option, especially once the Medicare rebates run out.I offer some concession spots for health care card holders, students, and people experiencing financial hardship. Please contact me to discuss your options.Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to scheduled appointments. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice incur full fee.

For face to face therapy - I work from Lygon Therapy located in Carlton North and therapy rooms in Fitzroy North.I offer online therapy via Telehealth, and telephone sessions to clients across Australia and overseas.
